Dover: Edna M. Goodnoe, 92, of Julia Drive, passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2018 with her family by her side, at the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. Edna was born on July, 28, 1925 in Rollinsford, NH; the daughter of late Felix and Rose (LaPointe) Laviolette. As a life-long resident of Dover, Edna dearly loved her children, and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, and she enjoyed spending time with all of them. She was a phenomenal cook and baker. She loved gardening and travel, and was a huge part of life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Edna was predeceased by her parents, her husband, George V. Goodnoe, Sr. , her son, Robert Goodnoe, and daughter, Theresa Brown. She is survived by her son, George V. Goodnoe, Jr. of Swanson, IL; her daughters, Odina Lyles of Brookline, Julia Hill of Dover, and Elizabeth Jordan of Dover; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the Parish of the Assumption, St. Joseph’s Parish, 150 Central Ave, Dover, NH with Father Agapit Jean, officiating. A graveside service will be held at Arlington Cemetery, Arlington VA, where Edna will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, George.
