Obituary for Earl Ray Newman III

Earl R. Newman, III passed away in his home in Barrington NH on January 1st. Earl was born in Manchester NH August 5, 1959 to Earl R Newman Jr and Louise R Newman (Ross). He has been a lifelong resident of NH. Earl was a 1978 graduate of Spaulding High School in Rochester NH entering the United States Coast Guard in August of that same year. Earl was very proud of his time in the Coast Guard as an Aviation Machinist and was honorably discharged in August of 1982 with the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class, E4. He was especially proud of what he was able to accomplish, and the lives he saved while serving. Earl was employed at PBS Plastics in Barrington NH since 2001, was considered a valued employee, and had great respect for his employers. Being an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and spending time at the Newman Family Camp in Lyman NH. He also loved to read and spent many years in the past working with the Boy Scouts. Earl, known to his family as “Buddy” is survived by his sons, Earl R. Newman, IV of Concord NH; Andrew Newman of Portsmouth NH; his mother Louise Newman of Brooksville, FL; a brother David Newman of Barrington NH; his sister Diane Dawson of Warner, NH; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Earl R Newman, Jr and younger brother Daniel Newman. Services will be held at the Purdy Funeral Home in Barrington NH on Monday, January 7th at 11:00. Graveside burial will be later in the spring at the New Pine Grove Cemetery in Raymond NH. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
