Northwood: Earl Christian Klaubert, 84, of Northwood, died Wednesday, Oct 22, 2014, at Havenwood Retirement Community, Concord, following a brief illness. He was born in Manchester, June 20, 1930; a son of Charles and Irene (French) Klaubert. Earl married Charlotte Allen on July 30, 1955, and enjoyed 56 years of love-filled marriage until Charlotte's death Oct 14, 2011. Earl graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 1952 with a BS in Chemical Engineering and subsequently served two years in the US Army. Earl began his professional career in rocket propulsion and subsequently worked for NASA during the Apollo moon landing projects. Earl completed his career with the US Dept of Transportation in 1996. Earl is survived by his two sons, Brian and wife Nola, of Atlanta GA; Jeff and wife Christina, of Lincoln; and grandchildren Allison, Nicole, and Lauren. A memorial service will be held at Northwood Congregational Church, Northwood, on Saturday, Oct 25th, at 3 PM, with a reception following.
