Dover NH: Dorothy F. Courchesne, 95, of Elliott Park died on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Mass General Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on April 25, 1918 in Dover NH; the daughter of Irving R. and Gladys Otis Foss. Dorothy was a graduate of Dover High School class of 1937, Bryant and Stratton class of 1940. She served in the Mass Women’s Defense Corp. She had recently celebrated 56 yrs. as an Avon lady. She loved to play cards every day with her friends at the Dover Senior Center as well as at her home .She was past president of the Emblem Club #4 and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. She also was a member of the Nile St. Seniors. She was baptized in St. John Church and had been a member since 1918. Dorothy is survived by her daughter Ardith Turgeon Cade and her husband Alan Cade of Madbury NH, 4 grandchildren Jason, Justin Marc and Joshua Turgeon; 3 great grandchildren Jade, Julia and Jackson Turgeon and nieces, nephews; and many close friends, also her son in law Marc Turgeon; and two companions, her dog, Sassy and her cat, Tuxi. She was pre-deceased by her husband Romeo W.Courchesne, her parents as well as her step father Fred Greenlaw and 2 step brothers.
