Nottingham, NH: Doris Y. (Ruel) Chase, 76, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018 at Hyder House. She was born on April 6, 1942 in Dover, NH to the late, Paul and Alice (Forcier) Ruel. Doris attended St. Charles School and Dover High School. She enjoyed baking, camping, shopping, and her family meant a lot to her. She worked for several years as a baker at Harley’s Diner, and she continued her career as a cook at UNH and worked in various buildings at UNH as housekeeper. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie M. Beal and her husband, Harold; son, James P. Chase and his wife, Dale; grandchildren, Stephen, Stacey, Amanda, Andee, Derrick and 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Bob) Ruel, George Ruel and his wife, Jackie, Norman Ruel and his wife, Theresa; sister, Lorraine Bennett and her husband Richard; as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Steve; brothers, Richard and Roland Ruel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doris’ name to Hyder Family Hospice House. Family and friends may visit Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018 from 10-11:00am at Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Road, Rt. 4, Lee, NH with a memorial service to be held at 11:00am with Deacon Robert Gagnon, officiating.
