Lee, NH - In Loving Memory of Diethild Beckman: a remarkable mother.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Diethild Beckman, a devoted and loving mother who departed this world on December 2, 2023. She left us surrounded by the warmth of her loved ones, transitioning to eternal peace with grace and serenity.

Diethild was born in Yonkers, New York, on March 1, 1938. She was a beacon of love, kindness, and fairness throughout her life. She devoted herself to creating a home filled with love and laughter, always putting the needs of her family, and friends above all else.
A true nurturer at heart, Diethild had a special affinity for the natural world. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1960 with a degree in Horticulture. Her love for plants and nature was also evident in her thriving garden and the many pets that became cherished members of the family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was tending to her garden, caring for her beloved pets, or sharing stories of the wonders of nature with her children and grandchildren.

Friendship was another cornerstone of Diethild's life. Her open and welcoming nature made it easy for her to form lasting connections with people from all walks of life. She valued loyalty and camaraderie, and her friends held a special place in her heart. These memories will forever be etched in the minds of those fortunate enough to call her a friend.

Diethild is predeceased by her daughter Krista, husband Jere R Beckman, DVM, and her parents Hermine and Hugo. She is survived by her sister Rotraut, sons Erik and Pieter, daughter-in-law Laura and grandsons Griffin and Landis. Her legacy lives on through the values she instilled in her family, the friendships she cultivated, and the beauty she brought to the world around her.

May Diethild rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and serenity she so generously shared with those fortunate enough to know her. Her spirit and memory will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness and compassion.
