Obituary for Dexter W. Dudley Mr.

Northwood — Dexter W. Dudley went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at the age of 73. The son of Oliver and Jessie Dudley was born on Sept. 14, 1938, Brewer, Maine but was raised in Portland, Maine. Dexter is survived by his wife Eleanor Dudley of Northwood, his brother Charlie of Indiana, his sons Rod Dudley and his wife Angela from Nottingham, and Tim and Lisa Dudley of Dover. He also has 6 grandchildren, Robby, Cameron, Sara and Noah, Katie and Jenni. Dexter loved spending time with his family. He was a very dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He loved fly fishing and fly-tying, hunting and flying air planes. For the past two years he enjoyed spending time with his friends at Rochester Visiting Nurse Adult Daycare. His special love was attending Bible studies and prayer meetings with his church family at Higher Ground Baptist Church. What made Dexter the happiest was being around his family and friends. Dexter had a great sense of humor and could make everyone laugh. Dexter was an amazing person loved by everyone. Dexter was a retired Air Traffic Controller and also spent 4 years in the Air Force in various parts of the world. Memorial contributions may be made in Dexter's name to Higher Ground Baptist Church Legacy Fund. Memorial service beginning 2 pm at Higher Ground Baptist Church, Route 4, Nottingham on Saturday, March 10th, 2012.
