Obituary for Dennis M. ""Denster"" Hester

We are sad to announce the death of Dennis Hester who passed away at age 67 on August 12, 2022 at Hyder House surrounded by his family. Dennis was born in Dover, the second of six children to George and Louise Hester. Also known as “The Denster” a nickname affectionately given by his brothers, he was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and Uncle Denny to his nieces and nephews. He attended schools in Dover, played for Dover Minor and Dover Little League and boxed with the Paul Harriman Boxing Club in his young adult years. He served proudly in the US Marine Corps after high school and was honorably discharged. He was in the masonry trade until the time of his illness when he retired and spent many wonderful days with his grandchildren whom he loved so much. He will forever be lovingly remembered with the smile he always had for everyone.

Dennis is survived by his daughters, Shara Martinez, Danielle Robare ( Tim ), grandchildren Jacob and Cassidy Martinez, Madison and Brandon Millard, his siblings, Sherry Lucius, Brian Hester, George Hester ( Cyndy ) Carolanne George ( Scott ) and Matthew Hester ( Rebecca ) and many, many nieces and nephews who will love and miss him forever.

Calling hours will be Monday, August 22, 2022 from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave, Dover NH, a memorial service to follow with Father Aggie Jean Jr officiating. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with his Mom and Grandparents.
