Rollinsford-David A. Wentworth, 86 of Rollinsford, NH passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 11, 2019. Born July 19, 1932 in Dover NH, he was the son of the late Andrew Rollins Wentworth and Mary Louise (Chick) Wentworth. David attended UNH, participated in ROTC and graduated with a degree in Agronomy. Following graduation in 1954, he served in the Army as a 1st Lieutenant in Korea. After completing his service, he returned home to carry on the family’s agricultural tradition by co-founding Wentworth Greenhouses with his brother, Aaron. David enjoyed family, travelling and working in the greenhouse business. He loved to read and was always a wealth of information regarding current events and history both locally and globally. David is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anita (Moulton), three sons; Mark Wentworth and his wife Suzanne of Rollinsford, Bryan Wentworth and his wife Catherine of Rollinsford, Matthew Wentworth of California, sister; Andrea Armour and her husband Albert, sister-in-law; Janice Wentworth and four grandchildren; Brianna, Douglas, Alexandra and Elizabeth. He was predeceased by his son Brett Wentworth and his brother, Aaron Wentworth. Visiting hours will be held from 4-6:00pm on Friday. March 15, 2019 at the Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave, Dover NH. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the funeral home.
