David Bruce Thibault, 68, of Berwick, ME, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 29, 2023, at Wentworth-Douglas hospital after a brief illness. David was born in Rochester, NH, grew up in Somersworth, NH and graduated Somersworth high school class of ‘73. David attended and graduated from the US Navy Dive School in 1980 and had a 37-year career as a navy diver and rigger at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME. David was an avid Nascar and sports fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping, and his hobbies included gardening, tinkering on cars, lawnmowers and anything else that found its way to his garage.

After retiring in 2010, David enjoyed his corvette and frequented the Astor, Florida area during the winter.

David is survived by his three children; Christine Thomas, Angela Gilberti, and David Thibault (and wife Jessica), three grandchildren; Cheyenne, Sophia, and Brooklyn, sister Claire Briand (and husband George) and brother Bruce Thibault (and wife Laurie). David is pre-deceased by his brother Roland and parents Robert and Joyce.

Visitation hours will be held from 11AM to 2PM on October 9th, 2023, at Wiggin-Purdy-McCooey-Dion Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave, Dover, NH. A private graveside service and burial will be held at a later date at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Somersworth, NH.
