Obituary for David James Michaud

David James Michaud of Milton, NH recently lost his hard-fought battle with Alzheimers in Dover, NH on July 23rd, 2023 shortly after his 72nd birthday.

David was born on July 9th, 1951 in Orange, NJ to William and Genevieve Michaud and was one of six children. He graduated from Marshwood High school in 1971 which is also where he met the love of his life and wife of 51 years, Pamela Ann Michaud.

Shortly after High-school David joined the Navy and was stationed in Rota, Spain with his wife. They then moved and traveled all over the United States and had two sons, Anthony Paul Michaud and Patrick William Michaud. His favorite activities were taking his sons hunting, spending time as a family, and doing a litany of chores every weekend.

David accomplished so much in his life but his family is most proud of his service in the Navy, being a volunteer Sheriff, an Honorary Blue Angel, a football coach for his sons, and most importantly a caring father and husband. He will be remembered for his ceaseless work ethics, colorful language, and service to his family and community.

David is preceded in death by his parents William and Genevieve Michaud and his brother, Robert Michaud, father and mother-in-law Robert and Muriel MacLachlan and step mother-in-law Ann MacLachlan., .

He is survived by his wife Pamela Ann Michaud, his two sons Anthony Paul Michaud and Patrick Wiliam Michaud, his daughter-in-law Chelsea Anne Murphy, his brothers William Michaud and Richard Michaud, sisters Fran Foucault and Shirley Pickering, dear brother-in-law Dave MacLachlan and wife Renae, and many more caring family and friends.

Calling hours will be held at Wiggin Purdy McCooey Dion Funeral home at 655 Central Avenue in Dover, NH 03820 from 4pm-6pm EST on Friday, July 28th. His funeral will be held at Our Ladies of the Angels Catholic Church at 162 Agamenticus Road, South Berwick, ME 03908 on Saturday, July 29th at 11am EST.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of David James Michaud.
