Obituary for Dana William Sullivan

Dana Sullivan - Nottingham
April 12, 1950 - December 15, 2022

Dana William Sullivan, age 72, passed away at Wentworth - Douglass Hospital after a sudden illness. He is predeceased by his parents Clinton E. Sullivan and Jeanne M. (LaPerle) Sullivan. Dana is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Nanette, his sister Dale, brothers David and Kim, half brother Dan, half sister Mary, his son Dana W. Sullivan Jr. and Ada Pierce of Portsmouth NH, and his son Scott J. and Jennifer Sullivan and grandchildren Ella and Cole of Newtown PA.

A simple man with a huge heart, dedicated husband, caring father, and a loyal friend. Dana enjoyed racing at Star Speedway. He started racing in 1986 in enduros and the roadrunner division. His car number was "ONO" and he was the one in the orange pumpkin, the Christmas sled, and many other holiday-themed race cars. Everyone at the race track knew him as "Uncle Dana". Dana was a perfectionist in everything that he did, which was evident in his creativity and craftsmanship. He had a dry sense of humor that was contagious and willing to help out anyone that needed help. Anyone that knew Dana or "Uncle Dana" definitely has memorable stories (for example, Banchie the Monkey, "pet" pigs, "Crotchless" mountain skiing, anything related to snakes, his willingness to dance with some liquid encouragement, little league away games, road trips to Connecticut, Kancamagus Highway swimming hole trips, summer road trip to Maryland in a non-ac 1978 Firebird, and many, many more memories).

There are no calling hours.
