Somersworth: Cynthia (Cindy) Valentine Lamagdelaine, 73, passed away on Fri., June 29, 2012 at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital with her family by her side. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. She worked TVCCA with Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed being a member of the Red Hats Society. She was born on Oct. 30, 1938 in New London, CT; the daughter of William H. and Natalie (Hoy) Valentine. She leaves behind her loving daughter, Denise Hodges of New London, CT, her loving daughter, Sharon Burrows and her companion, Darby Elliott of Freeland, PA; her loving son, David Burrows of Niantic, CT, her loving daughter, Susan Lamagdelaine and her companion, Becky Petrillo of Methuen, MA; her loving granddaughter, Marisa Hodges of New London, CT; her dear friend and caregiver, Kimala Moschetti of Somersworth, NH; many nieces and nephews and many “adopted” daughters. She was predeceased by her mother, Natalie (Hoy) Hill and her husband, Gerald Lamagdelaine, along with a brother at birth, Keith Hill and her boyfriend, Luke Kane. The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses for their care of our beloved mother while she was a patient at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, where she was known as the “Candy Lady” for many years. Services will be held at First Baptist Church, 25 Cemetery Rd., Somersworth, NH on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 10:30am.
