Obituary for Clive J. Demmons Mr.

NORTHWOOD - Clive Joseph Demmons S.R., 67, was born October 21, 1944, in Newton Mass. to George Maynard and Louise Kathrin (MacDonald) Demmons. Went to Nottingham schools and graduated from Coe Brown Academy. Vietnam era veteran, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in September 1962. Served aboard LST 1176 USS Graham County. Attended electrician mate school in Great Lakes, Ill. Worked for Simplex Wire & Cable Co. as an electrical tester. Joined Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Apprentice Program in September 1966. Graduated 1970. From 1973-1986 he worked for Sycor and Northern Telecom, repairing computers in the field. In 1988, he returned to PNSY as a Radiac Calibration Tech. until reaching retirement in 2004. He is survived by: his four children, daughters Amy Stanley and her husband Robert of Alton, Jennifer Cusson and husband Fabrizio of Center Barnstead, Jessica Reinert and husband James of Wakefield, and son Clive Demmons and fiancé Meredith Grower of Austin Texas; 11 grandchildren, Vanessa, Shawn, Casey, Ryan, Briana, Kyle, Anthony, Abigail, Natalie, Devyn, and Avery "Rosie"; one great-grandson Ryder; one sister Mary Louise Delamater and her husband Bill; three brothers, George "Bud" Demmons and his wife Dorothy, William Demmons, Richard Demmons; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend Tom DeMeritt. Clive loved his children more than anything in life and will always be remembered for being a caring friend, brother and a wonderful father. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, December 13, at Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Road (Route 4), Lee from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with a memorial service and reception following immediately after.
