Obituary for Cheryl A Goscinski-Drew (Goscinski)

Cheryl Ann Lydia Goscinski-Drew passed away peacefully at Wentworth Douglass Hospital on December 24, 2023 at 12:40 a.m. surrounded by her family and ever-loving spouse Rick, due to a period of declining health. She was born on December 9, 1961 at the Naval Hospital in Kittery, ME. Cheryl was the oldest daughter of the late Ludwik Goscinski and Florence (Williams) Canfield.
Cheryl was raised in Dover, NH. and was a Dover High school graduate of the class of 1980. Cheryl furthered her education and received a degree in Early Childhood Education at Franklin Pierce College, which she was extremely proud of. Children were always near and dear to her heart! Cheryl had the privilege of working with children through the Strafford County Headstart program as well as the Partners in Health program at Community Partners in Dover, NH.
Cheryl eventually set out on her own and became the proprietor of the Barrington Community Childcare Center in Barrington, NH. She was quite proud of this endeavor and put her heart and soul into providing the best of care to every child who attended her program. Cheryl simply wanted to make a difference in the lives of children!
Cheryl was gifted in so many ways. Her level of artistry and creativity was amazing! Whether it was drawing, decorating, cooking, baking or writing poetry. If she could envision it, she could create it! Certainly, anyone who knew Cheryl and or crossed her path, was most definitely exposed to her quick wit and tremendous sense of humor!
Cheryl had a great love for her family! She leaves behind her five siblings: Larry Lytle (Rita), Louis Goscinski (Donna), Karin Goscinski-Breton (Darrel), Bill Goscinski (partner Sharon) and Debra Goscinski. She adored her nieces and nephews: Erica, Brandon, Ashley, James, Marilyn, Anna, Logan, Amanda and Lukas.
Cheryl is survived by her loving husband Rick Drew. They were married for thirty-four years and resided in Barrington, NH.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Cheryl's name to a children's charity of your choice or the Barrington Food Pantry in Barrington, N.H.

Friends and family are welcome on January 9, 2024 from 4-5:30pm with a memorial service at 5:30 pm at Wiggin Purdy Funeral Home 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH with Father Agapit Jean, officiating.

There will be a private family graveside in the Spring of 2024.
