Obituary for Charlotte C Eaton (Heywood)
Charlotte C. Eaton, 83, of Pembroke, NH passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022,
with her loving family by her side.
Charlotte was born on December 19, 1938; in Newburyport, Massachusetts; the daughter
of Harold H. Heywood and Ruth R. (Packer) Heywood.
Charlotte was beloved by her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Spending time with her family was one of her greatest joys in life. She loved to stay busy,
whether it was browsing yard sales, shopping, or going out for an ice cream. She especially loved
to visit Newburyport, Massachusetts, where she grew up. She enjoyed celebrating her birthdays
with a girls' night, a trip to the theater to see a Christmas show.
During her retirement years, she loved camping and fishing with her husband of 65 years.
He states that she was the best fisherman he has ever met. She would always catch the most and
biggest fish on almost every fishing trip they went on, much to his annoyance! She was the best
catch of his life!
She will forever be in our hearts and be dearly missed by many.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 65 years, Samuel L. Eaton Sr; her 6 children,
Sammy and his wife Betty, Robert, Audrey and her husband Brian, Tammy and her husband
David, Tina and her husband Michael, and Hope; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
Charlotte's childhood memories of the Salvation Army in Newburyport, MA meant a lot
