Charles “Chuck” Edward Martin passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 63 from an unexpected illness at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in his hometown of Dover, New Hampshire. Chuck lived most of his life in Bridgeport, Connecticut before relocating to New Hampshire. Even though he was taken from this world much too soon, his unique sense of humor and his helping nature will remain with all who knew him. Chuck from his early years was a lover of music and pop culture. He became an expert on movie trivia, and he was an avid Jets and Mets fan. Chuck is predeceased by his father, Alfred Martin (1995), his mother, Gladys Calkins Martin (2005), and his great-nephew John (JD) Daisey (2021).

Chuck is survived by his life partner, Tricia Wessels of Dover, New Hampshire. He leaves behind his five children, his son Eric Martin and his life partner Melissa, of New Hampshire, his daughter Amanda Tomatore and her husband James, of Connecticut, his Daughter Elizabeth Martin-Theriault and her husband Joel, of Maine, his sons Andre Martin and Bryan Martin both of New Hampshire. In addition, he leaves his siblings Freddy Martin of California, Mary Sears of Connecticut, George Martin and his wife Melinda, of New Hampshire. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, his three nieces, and several great-nieces and nephews.


Memorial Service will be determined at a later date with a respite gathering at Vazzy's in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The burial of cremains will be private at Saint Michael's Cemetery in Stratford, Connecticut.
