Middleton: Cathy Ellen (Baker) Swasey, 60, of Fox Road, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, NH, after a long fight with cancer. Cathy was born on June 13, 1954, in Mountain Home, Idaho; the daughter of late Richard and Dorothy (Gunther) Baker. Cathy, a longtime resident of Portsmouth, NH, worked as a nurse at numerous local hospitals ending with Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. An avid china painter and gardener, she was known for her many artistic talents. Cathy has been associated with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Newington since an early age. She is survived by her husband, of 26 years, Richard Swasey of Middleton; her son, Joshua Schrock and his wife, Julie of Laguna Hills, CA; her daughters, Monica White and her husband Dan of Gypsum, CO; and Christina Swasey of London, England; her brothers, Cliff Baker of Alaska, Richard D. Baker, III of Oregon, Larry Baker of Strafford NH, Barry Baker and Michael Baker both of Rochester, NH; her sister, Tina Story of Lutherville, Georgia.
