Obituary for Catherine L Kyle (Gillis)

Catherine (Kay) Kyle of Nottingham died peacefully with family by her side.

She is predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Kyle and survived by her three children, two granddaughters,
one great granddaughter, brother, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Kay was an avid reader, retired artist and painter with a great sense of humor who easily made friends wherever she went in life. She believed that strangers were just friends that hadn’t been met yet. Kay showed her appreciation for connections by often gifting those who crossed her path with one of her creations. She had a knack for making anything into a Santa Clause. Kay’s leadership left a legacy, heading up many different organizations and initiatives in the arts as well as community politics and engagement. Whether she struck up a conversation about books, art, or politics, one always knew where she stood.

Memorial Service at 11AM on Saturday April 20 at the Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Road (Rte. 4), Lee, NH.
Private interment.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kay’s name may be made to St. Jude Hospital.
