Obituary for Carolyn L Goodwill (Wynott)

Carolyn L. Goodwill, 101, passed away very peacefully on March 16, 2024 at Havenwood Heritage Heights in Concord, NH. Carolyn (Callie) was the daughter of late Esther and Garland
Wynott. She was born on March 5,1923 in Portsmouth, NH and lived her childhood in Rye, NH.

Carolyn graduated from Portsmouth High School and Keene State University with both a bachelor’s and graduate degree in Education. She taught in grades 1-4 in several schools, including: Tilton, Stratham, Plymouth Teacher’s College and ending in Concord at Kimball School when she married in 1963.

Callie married her beloved husband, Lloyd Goodwill of Barrington, NH. She made her fondest memories in their home in Barrington, where she lived until his death in 1998. She spent her days tending to their extensive fruit and flower gardens, which they generously shared with friends and family. Callie’s love of gardening held true her entire life, still trying to teach us the Latin names for flowers and plants on her 100th Birthday!

Carolyn cherished her many friends, far and wide. She was lucky enough to have traveled both within the US and Europe with her dearest friend of almost 80 years, Leah Gray of Concord, NH., who only predeceased her by a couple of years!

Carolyn will be greatly missed but joyously remembered by her two sisters, Priscilla Fernald (& late brother-in-law, Harold) of Hampton, NH. and sister Alison and Erick Andersson of Billerica, MA.
She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Lisa Fernald, Laurie Fernald and her children, Nathan and Shelby. Stephen and Melissa Fernald & children, Patrick and Chase. Mark and Erin Andersson and Sharon Andersson and (fiancé) Don McFarland.

Carolyn’s family wish to express their sincere appreciation and deep gratitude to the entire Medical and Non-Medical personnel at Havenwood Heritage Heights. The nursing staff, especially, made it possible for Callie to enjoy her last 25 years happily and safely.

Services and burial at Pine Grove Cemetery, Barrington, NH will be private.
