Carol Joan Leonard passed away peacefully on August 2, 2018 at Langdon Place in Dover, NH. Born August 26,1929, she was the daughter of William and Annetta Leonard, and sister of Robert Leonard. Carol graduated from Northfield Academy in 1948, and from Colby College in 1952. She retired as a vice president of the Bank of Boston after a thirty year career there. Carol was active in her community, including service to the Wentworth Home and the Women’s Club of Somersworth. She enjoyed bridge (achieving the rank of Bronze Life Master), gardening, opera, and travel. She will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephew, Cathy Swain, Lee Anne Velez, and William Leonard, and their families, as well as by her many dear friends. Services will be held at Wiggin-Purdy Funeral Home, 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Somersworth NH chapter of End 68 Hours of Hunger foundation in her memory.
