Bruce Whiteley died on December 26, 2018 at the age of 57 in a tragic car accident. He grew up in Annandale, NJ and graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Business Administration. Bruce has spent the past 11 years in Dover, NH with his significant other, Karen McManus. He is survived by Karen; his mother Beverly (Bell) Whiteley; his brothers David and Kenneth Whiteley; his 3 children, Charlotte Whiteley of Stratham, NH, Jameson Whiteley of Woburn, MA and Caroline Whiteley of Durham, NH; and the mother of his children, Kerry Rourke Whiteley of Doylestown, PA. Bruce is predeceased by his father, Arthur Whiteley. Bruce was the kindest, sweetest gentleman that you could meet. He touched all those around him with his charismatic spirit, big heart and wonderful smile. He always had a positive attitude and truly loved making people happy, which he effortlessly accomplished regardless of the situation. No matter the weather, you could always find Bruce wearing his signature cargo shorts and hawaiian shirt, even in the dead of winter. He loved family and friends more than anything. He enjoyed walking the dogs Bella and Daisy and playing disc golf. He loved playing grandfather Brucey to Karen’s granddaughters, Maria and Evelyn Janetos. There will be a memorial service for family and close friends on Monday, December 31st at 2:00 pm at Wiggin Purdy Funeral Home at 655 Central Ave., Dover, NH. We will also be having a celebration of Bruce's life on New Year's Day at 11:00 am, at the Portsmouth Elks Club, 500 Jones Avenue Portsmouth, NH for all who would like to come honor Bruce's memory. The family would like to have donations made to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
