Obituary for Brenda Paula Pergerson Ms.

Brenda Pergerson of Barrington, NH passed away peacefully in her home by the lake on March 7, 2012. Born November 2, 1944 in NYC the daughter of Eileen (Grant) Hussey she was raised in and lived most of her life in the seacoast area of NH. Brenda had a great love all of her life of many crafts, eventually focusing her talents on quilting. Her appliqueing abilities were exceptional and something she took great pride in. She was President of the Cocheco Quilters Guild in 2000 and 2005, and was known as the cheerleader of the Guild for many years. The Challenge Quilts were always her favorites! Actually Brenda was a cheerleader to all, a caring and generous person throughout her life. Brenda always let you know what was on her mind, so there was never any doubt where you stood with her! Generous of spirit and a friend to many, Brenda spent much love and time making “love and comfort” quilts for those who were ill or just in need of some comfort. Brenda’s greatest pride was her family and being a loving and supportive Mother, Partner and Memere. She is survived by her life partner of 35 years Linda Tyring, son Christopher Pergerson and his wife Melanie and daughters Alexandra and Sydney, her brother Michael Perron and his family, her sister Leanne Bradley and her family, Linda’s family members who loved Brenda dearly, her special Aunt Sharyn, dear friends Claire Drapeau and Paige Gibson, friends and comrades in arms Paul and Lynda McLaughlin, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We thank Dr. Gill George of York Family Practice for listening and guiding us to Brenda’s diagnosis, Dr. Robert Horowitz and his wonderful staff at York Oncology for her treatment both medically and personally, the hospice staff who took such good care of all of us physically, spiritually and emotionally, and our TVC crew who allowed Linda to spend as much time as needed with Brenda through this journey. Brenda’s courage, strength and laughter gladdened the hearts of those who had the privilege of loving her. She laughed often and was loved much. You are our sunshine and will be loved and remembered as our “fat and sassy” girl forever! We will have a Celebration of Life party for Brenda at noon on Saturday July 21, 2012 at her home on Swains Lake. If you’d like to attend, please contact Linda by phone at (603) 664-7872 or email [email protected]. To continue her generous legacy the family requests, in lieu of flowers, that you conduct random acts of kindness and cheerleading to those who need it. Arrangements are under the direction of Purdy Memorial Chapel, 2 Concord Rd, Rt 4, Lee, NH. To sign our online guest book, please go to www.purdyfuneralservice.com
