Obituary for Benjamin George Edwards
NORTHWOOD, NH: Benjamin George Edwards, 82, of Old Mountain Rd. died on Monday, March 13, 2023 at home.
He was born on June 24, 1940 in Allen County, Indiana, the son of Charles F. and Nettie L. Edwards.
Ben worked for many years as an auto mechanic and then an award-winning tool salesman in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. After his retirement, he took on the mowing and maintenance of several local cemeteries. He was an avid outdoorsman and community leader.
Ben is survived by spouse Lucy Chandler Edwards; grandsons Brett and Logan; step-daughters Erica and Rebecca; step-grandsons Nicholas and Patrick; many friends; and his dog, Freckles, the last in a series of beloved pets. He was pre-deceased by his daughter Angela.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Cocheco Valley Humane Society of New Hampshire (Dover, NH).
