SOMERSWORTH – Andrew (Andy) Alfred Plante, 90, of Somersworth passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at the Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover. Son of the late Edward and Evelyn Plante, Andrew was born on January 31, 1924 in Lewiston, ME. Andrew served in World War II in the United States Army. He was a member of the American Legion in Rollinsford. He loved working on puzzles and playing cribbage. He also enjoyed trips to the beach. Along with his parents, Andrew is predeceased by his brother Ernest Plante. Andrew is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Plante of Somersworth; his daughter, Betty Argent of Somersworth; one son, Paul Plante and his wife Carolyn of Long Island, NY; one sister, Teresa Goyette, six grandchildren, Lora M. Plante, Renee M. Plante, Thomas A. Plante, Kristen M. Plante, Brian A. Plante, Erin M. Plante; and one great grandchild, Kylie Ferell. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 2PM at the New Town Cemetery in Rollinsford.
