Obituary for Andrew E Janetos Mr.

Andrew E. Janetos Rollinsford, NH: Andrew E. Janetos, 77, of Rollinsford died unexpectedly on March 14, 2014. He was born on October 13, 1936 in Dover, N.H. to Ellen A. Janetos (Wentworth) and Evangelos G. Janetos of Rollinsford. He graduated from Dover High School, June 1954; University of New Hampshire, June 1959, with a degree in Civil Engineering and a ROTC Commission in the Air Force; served 3 years of active duty in the Air Force at Loring Air Force Base, Maine as a Planning Engineer – attained the rank of 1st. Lieutenant; worked 8 years at Pease Air Force Base, Newington, NH as a Project Engineer in Civil Engineering; worked from 1970 thru 2001 attaining 1/3 ownership of the Janco Companies; including Janco Inc., Janco Realty, and J-Pac Corp., Rollinsford, NH, served as CEO/President of these companies for 13 years, was a member of the Board of Trustees with Wentworth-Douglas Hospital for 8 years; member of the Board of Directors with Federal Savings Bank, Dover, NH for 21 years. He enjoyed travel, fishing, wood working and nature. Walking in the woods or next to a stream with or without a fishing rod, listening to the sounds of nature brought great joy to him. He patented two products, a light weight fly box for fishing and a see through coin holder. Known to his friends and family as Andy, he is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Eleanor C. (Huber) Janetos of Dover; a son, Andrew W. Janetos with his wife Patricia of Dover; and a daughter, Diana E. Janetos of Dover; his brothers, George, Lewis and Paul of Rollinsford; a sister, Barbara Johanson with her husband, Don of Nashua, NH, along with 17 nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Mary Bandouveres with her husband, George and Anna Laws with her husband Walter of Kennebunk, Maine; also a sister in law, Margorie, wife of George Janetos.
