Obituary for Alice Dolores Duddy (Corbett)

Alice Dolores Duddy, 90 from Strafford, NH passed away peacefully Friday afternoon on 12/1/2023. She was the beloved wife of the late George William Duddy.

She was born on 10/15/1933 in Medford, MA. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Lillian (Masiello) Corbett.

Alice loved to garden, her vegetable and flower gardens were enormous. Strangers would stop by the house and tell her how beautiful her gardens were. She was a member of the Strafford Garden Club and Strafford Woman’s Club where she enjoyed helping plant and decorate around town.

She also loved to bake. During the holidays you could always find Alice in the kitchen baking cookies and cakes. Usually with a Labrador or three underfoot waiting for something to drop. She loved her animals, cats, dogs, horses and birds. She would often adopt a pet by picture and send donations to sponsor the pet unit it was adopted. She loved to feed and watch the wild birds. She could name any bird you pointed at.

Alice also had a love for books. She could read 2 books a day. Some of her favorites were Danielle Steele, Nora Roberts and Guidepost. On family beach days you could always find her in a cozy beach chair reading while all the kids were playing on the beach or in the water.
